For the 5th time, Kanye West unveils his Adidas’ collaboration during New York Fashion Week.
The Yeezy Season 5 show was Ye’s first major public appearance since the abrupt cancellation of his Saint Pablo Tour and the subsequent hospitalized for “exhaustion.”
"To me it felt like the most traditional fashion show that he's done," said Rickie De Sole of W Magazine. "It had a polish to it. It felt like a serious fashion show. It felt substantial and there was less hoopla. It really was all about the fashion," De Sole added.
Kim Kardashian West, Vogue’s Anna Wintour, GOOD Music’s own Teyanna Taylor, Swizz Beatz, Hailey Baldwin, Zoë Kravitz and Carine Roitfeld were among the celebs in attendance for the Adidas’ collaborative line’s show, according to Rap-Up.
West, who was blasted for his public support of Donald Trump’s run for president featured a Muslim model wearing a hijab in the Season 5 show. The 19-year-old Halima Aden hit the runway in true Yeezy fashion, donning a full-lengthed fur.
The Fashion Network notes that this year’s show “was not live-streamed on the music streaming website TIDAL as some of West's shows have been in the past.”
